Our Story
Kugona Consulting Group was founded on a simple belief: the best consulting starts with the right fit. After years of seeing how many firms in Chicago approached staffing and client support, the founders recognized a pattern they believed needed to change. Too often, individuals were placed into contract roles without enough consideration for whether the fit truly served the client, the contractor, or the work itself. The priority often seemed to be filling positions quickly rather than solving problems with care and precision.
Kugona Consulting Group was created by five professionals who believed there was a better way. Instead of simply placing people into roles, they set out to build a firm focused on aligning the right talent with the right challenges to deliver the right solutions. Their vision was rooted in the idea that consulting should be thoughtful, professional, and genuinely valuable to the organizations and individuals it serves.
The name Kugona, meaning excellence in Shona, reflects the standard they set from the beginning. The founders spent countless hours shaping not only the services the firm would provide, but also the way those services would be delivered—with integrity, clarity, and a commitment to building strong, trusted partnerships.
